Riverside County Animal Services Mobile Clinic Coming to Thousand Palms on Tuesday

THOUSAND PALMS – Continuing the efforts to hold animal services mobile clinics around the Fourth District, the county’s new state-of-the-art mobile clinic is coming to the community of Thousand Palms on Tuesday to offer free wellness services for dogs.

With the support of Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, the Riverside County Department of Animal Services is holding a mobile clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus, located at 72-050 Pet Land Place, Thousand Palms, CA 92276.

There are spots available for free vaccines, microchips, dewormer, and flea and tick treatment for dogs at the mobile clinic. The event is open to residents of other communities as well. Appointments are required, and can be made through this link, https://www.rcdas.org/mobilewellness.

“These events are a great thing that help our community and take care of our pets,” said Supervisor Perez. “These services are provided at no cost, and they help residents and their dogs, the community as a whole as well as the Animal Services department. These events have been very helpful and successful in our communities as we ramp up our services.”

The event will assist approximately 200 pet owners with free wellness services. This is the fifth county animal services mobile clinic since last fall to help Fourth District communities, with clinics previously brought to Sky Valley, Blythe, North Shore and Carver Tract.

Supervisor V. Manuel Perez represents the Fourth Supervisorial District on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. The largest district in the county by geography, the 4th District covers eastern Riverside County, from Whitewater, stretching across the entire Coachella Valley south to the Salton Sea, up Highway 74 to Idyllwild and the mountain communities, and heading east of the Coachella Valley to Blythe and the Colorado River.

Supervisor Perez’s office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
