Carver Tract Boil Water Notice Lifted

April 13, 2026

CARVER TRACT – Today, the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health lifted the boil water notice for Carver Tract.

After two separate tests, the Carver Tract Community Water Company, in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board, determined that the water is safe to drink and it is no longer necessary for residents to boil tap water or consume bottled water.

The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission assisted the community with water bottles since last Wednesday, when construction caused a temporary water shutoff. The water was back on later that day but a boil notice was put into effect by default due to shutting down the system, not because of a bad sample.

Amanda Galindo, Executive Director of the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, states: “Coachella Valley Rescue Mission was honored to partner with the office of Supervisor V. Manuel Perez to support our community during this time. Together, we provided water, meals and a safe space for those impacted, ensuring immediate needs were met with care and dignity. We are deeply grateful for Supervisor Perez’s leadership and his ongoing commitment to the Coachella Valley. Partnerships like this allow us to respond quickly and serve our neighbors when it matters most.”

The Carver Tract Community Water Company is distributing notices to community members this evening regarding the water order being lifted.

Supervisor Perez thanks CVRM, the Carver Tract Community Water Company board members, and Indio Water Authority for their support of the community.
