December 8, 2025
THOUSAND PALMS – As this year’s Chairman of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, Supervisor V. Manuel Perez is bringing the annual State of the County presentation to the Fourth District in the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms, in the heart of the Coachella Valley, at the Acrisure Arena, this Thursday, December 11.
The Acrisure Arena has brought professional hockey to Riverside County, legendary entertainment and year-round economic opportunities to the desert, exemplifying possibility and county success as it welcomes guests from around Riverside County for the State of the County tradition.
Doors open at 4 p.m. While dinner tickets are no longer being sold, there will be an overflow area for anyone wanting to come for free, with free parking as well.
“It is going to be an amazing experience to have the State of the County hosted at the Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms for the first time,” said Supervisor Perez. “The arena is an investment in our county and a major addition that builds upon our quality of life. People from all over will have the opportunity to see the Acrisure Arena that is firing up the Fourth District and the County of Riverside!”
Members of the Thousand Palms Community Council will be among the over 900 guests in attendance.
Christopher Mitchell, chair of the Thousand Palms Community Council, states, “On behalf of the Thousand Palms Community Council, I want to extend our sincere gratitude to Supervisor Perez for hosting the State of the County event here in Thousand Palms. We deeply appreciate the Supervisor’s continued support and commitment to our community’s growth and quality of life.”
The Acrisure Arena opened in 2022 after a remarkable and unprecedented construction period of 18 months and a massive effort by county development agencies to process the privately funded project and make it happen.
“Acrisure Arena has quickly become a gathering place for music lovers and communities across the Coachella Valley,” said Irving Azoff. “As a resident of the Coachella Valley, I’ve seen firsthand how it’s become a key stop for major artists, hosting the launches and finales of world-class tours. Working with Riverside County to bring these incredible experiences to the Coachella Valley has been a real privilege, and we’re excited for what’s ahead at this remarkable venue.”
