November 18, 2024
THERMAL – Riverside County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez is funding a series of pet spay and neuter clinics in the unincorporated communities, with the first mobile clinic to be held tomorrow in Thermal.
On Tuesday, November 19, the Riverside County Department of Animal Services will bring its mobile spay and neuter clinic to the Jerry Rummonds Community Center, located at 87-229 Church Street in Thermal.
The event will provide up to 30 spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs under 20 pounds. There is no charge for the services. Vaccines and microchips are included.
Appointments are still available for a free spay and neuter procedure for their pet. An appointment is required and can be made at this link: https://bit.ly/3CooAGB
“Spay and neuter is an important focus for turning around, over time, the situation of overcrowding at animal shelters,” said Supervisor Perez. “These spay and neuter clinics offer a huge benefit for community members and are free of charge. And more events will be coming soon to a community near you!”
Tuesday’s spay and neuter clinic is funded through the county’s Fourth District Unincorporated Communities Initiative funding allocated by Supervisor Perez.
