Riverside County Animal Services Mobile Clinic Coming to Carver Tract on Wednesday

February 26, 2024

CARVER TRACT – With the support of Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, the Riverside County Department of Animal Services is bringing its brand new state-of-the-art mobile clinic to the community of Carver Tract to offer free services such as vaccines and microchips for dogs on Wednesday, February 28.

The Animal Services Department promoted this event in Carver Tract, and 200 people have signed up for appointments. The clinic is fully booked, but there will be a standby option in case any appointments don’t show. The county requests that people on standby arrive at noon for a chance at an appointment if they become available.

The mobile clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, at Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, located at 47-470 Van Buren St., Indio, CA 92201.

The clinic will provide free vaccines, microchips, dewormer, and flea and tick treatment for dogs.

“These events are a great thing that help our community and take care of our pets,” said Supervisor Perez. “These services are provided at no cost, and they help residents and their dogs, the community as a whole as well as the Animal Services department. And more events will be coming soon to a community near you!”

Supervisor Perez selected the community of Carver Tract out of the available funding to have this wellness clinic because of the need in the unincorporated community. This event is the fourth county animal services mobile wellness clinic since last fall to help Fourth District communities, with clinics previously brought to Sky Valley, Blythe and North Shore.
