North Shore Street Repaving Project to Start This Month
June 2, 2025
NORTH SHORE – A county transportation project will fix up over five miles of local roadways in the community of North Shore this summer.
The project is expected to start in mid-June and bring easier, safer and smoother roads for residents to drive on.
Repaving work will take place on key roadways including Avenue 70, Vander Veer Road and Sea View Way, and at the entry to the community from the train tracks on Bay Drive. Avenue 68, Avenue 72, Commerce Street and Compass Drive will also get new pavement.
“This summer, North Shore is going to see some major road improvements like Avenue 70 and many of the residential streets getting repaved,” said Supervisor V. Manuel Perez. “This is a significant investment that Riverside County is making. I am glad these roads will be taken care of, which improves the community and makes a difference for our residents.”
The roadwork will be performed by Vance Corporation of Beaumont, which was awarded the construction contract by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors last month.
Approximately 5.4 miles will be resurfaced as part of the project. The total budget for the project is $8.5 million, and is funded with the county’s gas tax and SB 1 transportation funds.
